How to Make a Lyric Video from a Suno Song (Step by Step)
Learn how to take your downloaded Suno AI song, paste your lyrics, sync line timings, and preview an aesthetic lyric video for social media.

1. Start with an audio download you are authorized to use
Before uploading any audio to third-party tools, verify your account rights and export permissions directly within Suno. Suno announced updated download policies and Terms of Service on August 10, 2026, which took effect on September 3, 2026. Under these terms, commercial and public use rights depend on your active subscription status at the time of song creation and download.
LyricVideo.net is a timing and layout tool; it does not grant, transfer, or clear music copyrights. You must hold the appropriate rights to both the underlying audio recording and the lyric text before preparing a public or commercial release.
2. Prepare and upload your audio file
Open the LyricVideo.net creator. The application accepts MP3, WAV, M4A, or AAC audio files up to 25 MB in size and up to 10 minutes in duration. Songs shorter than 15 seconds can be previewed in full, while longer recordings allow you to select a 15-second or 30-second focal passage for your video clip.
Confirm your rights via the checklist and complete the security verification. Once uploaded, your audio loads into a private browser workspace without requiring an initial account registration or credit card.
3. Paste your lyrics and calibrate line timings
Copy your lyrics from your Suno song generation details and paste them into the lyric input (one line per row). When first pasted, lines are spaced evenly across the selected audio interval as an initial draft. This initial distribution is mathematical and does not reflect vocal cadence or speech recognition.
Play the track and pause at natural phrase boundaries. Use "Mark start" or "Mark end" on each row to align the text with what you hear. You can also fine-tune the numeric second inputs for sub-second precision. Keep phrases short—typically four to eight words—so text remains comfortably legible on mobile screens without crowding.
4. Choose a visual template and preview your video
Select between vertical 9:16 (recommended for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts) or horizontal 16:9 (standard widescreen for YouTube). Test your synchronized text against our three distinct visual templates: Rainy Night (moody still image with dark overlay), Soft Gradient (procedural color blend), or Minimal Dark (clean typography on slate black).
Watch your synchronized preview directly in the browser canvas. The current release provides full in-browser playback with a subtle watermark for layout review. Clean 1080p MP4 exports with no watermark are planned for a subsequent release; pricing is proposed with no guaranteed launch date.
5. Troubleshooting common timing and playback issues
If playback audio desynchronizes after repeated scrubbing, pause playback and re-test from the clip start point. MDN documentation notes that browser currentTime values are approximate and subject to system clock precision.
If a line extends past the next sung phrase, use the "Split" button to divide the line at the playhead into two manageable segments. Always save your project after major timing adjustments to persist your changes to local and cloud draft storage.
